Social Worker – Children’s Social Work Teams (CSWT)
Salary: Up to £41,956 + £5,000 market premia + £2,000 annual retention payment (after 1 year’s service)
We are recruiting for a Social Worker to join the Children’s Social Work Teams at Medway Council. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive environment where you will make a real difference to the lives of children and families.
The Role:
Manage a caseload of children and families, undertaking assessments, care planning and reviews.
Implement child in need and child protection plans, escalating to legal proceedings where required.
Work directly with children and young people to capture their lived experiences, wishes and feelings.
Apply the Signs of Safety practice model in assessments and interventions.
Prepare structured reports for Child Protection Conferences, Children in Need meetings, Looked After Children Reviews, and court proceedings.
Work collaboratively with families, carers, and multi-agency partners to achieve positive outcomes.
Maintain accurate case records in line with GDPR and Medway systems.About You:
Qualified Social Worker with successful completion of the ASYE year.
Registered with Social Work England.
Experience in statutory children’s services, including safeguarding and direct work with children.
Knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory guidance and practice models.
Strong assessment, communication and report-writing skills.
Car driver with daily business use.What’s on Offer:
