QHSE Engineer Our client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented QHSE Engineer to support and manage Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental activities across the site. This role will ensure compliance with legal requirements, maintain robust management systems, and drive a positive safety and quality culture throughout the organisation.
QHSE Engineer Core Duties
Maintain and enhance the organisation’s QHSE management systems, ensuring alignment with legal standards and relevant ISO frameworks
Ensure the site meets all health, safety, and environmental legislative requirements
Conduct risk assessments, site inspections, audits, and investigations following incidents or near misses
Support continuous improvement and quality assurance initiatives across production
Prepare, update, and control QHSE documentation, policies, and records
Deliver safety-related training, inductions, and toolbox talks to staff
Act as a point of contact for QHSE matters, liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders
Track QHSE performance metrics, analyse trends, and present reports to senior leadership
Essential Criteria
NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) or IOSH Managing Safely (or higher)
Proven experience in a QHSE, HSE, or Quality Engineer position within a manufacturing setting
Solid understanding of UK health & safety and environmental legislation
Experience with ISO management systems (ISO 9001 essential; ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 advantageous)
Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
