About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and committed female PE Teacher to join a high-achieving, inclusive secondary school in Southwark. You will play a key role in delivering an engaging PE curriculum, promoting physical wellbeing, and inspiring students—particularly girls—to lead healthy, active lifestyles.

Please note: This position is open to female applicants only in accordance with the Equality Act 2010 (Schedule 9, Part 1) due to the responsibilities involved in teaching girls’ physical education.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality Physical Education lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4

*

Lead and develop girls’ PE provision, including core and optional sport modules

*

Organise and support extracurricular activities, clubs, and sports teams

*

Monitor, assess, and report on student progress to ensure high achievement

*

Uphold excellent standards of behaviour and engagement in lessons

*

Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture and wider school life

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in a relevant subject

*

Experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting

*

A track record of delivering engaging lessons and achieving positive outcomes

*

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

*

A passion for physical education and student wellbeing

*
