Compliance Coordinator

Job Description: At Gregory Distribution, we are currently seeking a Compliance Coordinator at our Cullompton depot. This position will be working within the compliance team and will involve all aspects of compliance administration processes and coordination of the day-to-day running of this busy contract.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and oversee key compliance processes such as drivers' hours and Working Time Directive (WTD) compliance, identifying areas for improvement and concern.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory standards.
Track and follow up on gate check failures and driving offences, ensuring remedial actions are implemented.
Manage user permissions and visibility within compliance systems including tachograph analysis, driver licensing, and fleet management platforms.
Administer onboarding and offboarding processes in compliance systems for new starters, leavers, and internal transfers.
Ensure timely and accurate driver licence checks and maintain compliance records.
Support Transport Managers and compliance leads with system queries and Group process adherence.
Monitor servicing compliance for vehicles, trailers, and MHE, escalating any issues.
Oversee digital file transfers and maintain hardware connectivity for vehicle and driver data.
Issue and manage Group Company Tachograph cards.
Collate and analyse data to produce detailed Operational Compliance KPIs and reports.
Manage inventory and distribution of transport compliance consumables.
Respond to Health and Safety queries and support the Group's H&S system.
Analyse Health and Safety trends, compile KPI data, and generate regular reports.
Review incident reports and liaise with Health and Safety advisors for appropriate action.
Administer serious incident calls, ensuring accurate documentation and escalation.
Deliver training and guidance on compliance matters to promote a culture of accountability.
Stay informed on regulatory changes and industry standards to ensure ongoing compliance.Requirements:
Proven experience in a compliance role, ideally within the transport or logistics sector.
Strong understanding of compliance regulations and best practices.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, across all organisational levels.
Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to meeting deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Discreet and professional in handling sensitive and confidential information.

Competitive Salary: £25,500 per annum - £27,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Hours: 08:30hrs - 17:00hrs, Monday to Friday.
