Job Title: Credit Controller
Location: Welwyn Garden City

Hours: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm

Salary: £28,000–£32,000 per year

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join their finance team. This is a great opportunity for a motivated professional to take ownership of credit control activities, supporting overall financial health and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee accounts receivable and ensure timely collections.
Conduct credit assessments on new and existing clients.
Liaise with customers to resolve outstanding payments via phone and email.
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
Assist in reconciling financial discrepancies in collaboration with internal teams.
Provide regular reporting on credit control performance and outstanding debt.
Support the implementation of credit control policies and procedures.
Skills and Experience:

Previous experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or a similar financial role.
Strong communication skills, particularly by phone and email.
Good working knowledge of accounting or financial software.
Excellent attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
Understanding of basic financial principles and credit risk management.
