Accounts Technician

Location: Exeter, Devon

Hours: 36.25 hours / 5 days per week

Salary: £25,500 - £29,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions, operating as an employment agency, are currently recruiting for an Accounts Technician to join our clients Accountancy Practice in their Exeter Branch.

The successful candidate will be AAT qualified or qualified by experience Accounts Technician.

The role:

Preparing financial statements for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders up to the audit threshold

Preparation of personal and corporate tax computations and returns

Providing bookkeeping and management accounting services

Filing Companies House and HM Revenue & Customs documents on client's behalf

Ensuring that accounting records for clients are maintained and kept up to date

Dealing with the preparation and completion of quarterly VAT returns

Comply with internal policies and procedures, ethical standards and regulatory requirements

General admin duties to provide support to the Partners, Managers and the office

About you:

Experience of working as an Accounts Technician or Semi Senior level within a practice

Previous experience in accounts preparation for limited companies and unincoporated business

Able to multitask well

Able to take initiative and work to deadlines

Good working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Social Media platforms
