Assistant Quantity Surveyor

This role is only relevant for candidates with experience in construction, engineering, M&E or infrastructure projects.

We are recruiting an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a major long-term energy infrastructure project at Gatwick Airport, with works scheduled to continue until at least 2031.

This opportunity would suit either:

• A Graduate Quantity Surveyor looking to step up into an Assistant role
• An existing Assistant Quantity Surveyor seeking exposure to a larger, complex project with long-term stability

You will join a well-established commercial team delivering civil, construciton and mechanical and electrical infrastructure works on a live, high-profile environment utilising NEC4 Option A contract.

The role offers the chance to develop your commercial career on a technically interesting project, working alongside experienced senior commercial professionals who will support your development.

The Role

Working closely with the commercial and project delivery teams, you will support the commercial management of packages across the project.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with cost management and commercial reporting
• Supporting subcontract procurement and administration
• Assisting with valuations, variations and change management
• Supporting project financial control and forecasting
• Working closely with project delivery teams and senior commercial staff

What We're Looking For

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar (or currently working towards)
• Experience within construction, engineering, M&E or infrastructure projects
• Strong commercial awareness and eagerness to learn
• Good communication and organisational skills
