Senior Quantity Surveyor – Worcestershire – Bespoke Residential

Walker & Sloan are working in partnership with a well-regarded residential builder in Worcestershire known for delivering high-quality, bespoke housing schemes. With a strong pipeline of exciting work ahead, they are now seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take a commercial lead across multiple upcoming projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a QS who is passionate about craftsmanship, quality, and enjoys working in a close-knit team on high-end builds.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead commercial strategy and cost management from feasibility through to final account

*

Prepare accurate cost plans, budgets, and tender returns

*

Assess subcontractor valuations and variations

*

Work closely with project managers and directors to ensure financial control on projects

*

Value engineering input and contract negotiations

*

Conduct risk assessments and provide cost-saving solutions

*

Regularly report on financial performance and cash flow forecasts

Ideal Background:

*

A minimum of 5 years' experience in quantity surveying, ideally with bespoke or traditional build residential projects

*

Excellent understanding of construction contracts (JCT preferred)

*

Comfortable working independently and with a small commercial team

*

Good negotiation and client-facing skills

*

Strong reporting and documentation experience
