Tradewind Recruitment are working with a welcoming and nurturing all-through special school in Erdington who are seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to join their highly supportive team.

The school provides education and care for pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and a range of complex medical needs. The staff play a vital role in ensuring every pupil is supported, safe and empowered to reach their full potential.

The Role:

Full-time position, Monday to Friday (term time)

Supporting pupils with personal care, physical needs and medical routines

Working alongside teachers, therapists and support staff to provide holistic care

Assisting with class activities, communication and social development

Ensuring a safe, dignified and positive environment for all pupils

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have experience supporting individuals with SLD, PMLD or complex needs

Hold Manual Handling training

Be compassionate, patient and committed to high-quality care

Be able to work effectively as part of a team

Be resilient, reliable and ready to start as soon as possible
