Aspire People are looking to recruit a passionate and qualified Design & Technology Teacher for a secondary school in Stoke-on-Trent, starting in September 2025.
The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking school with excellent facilities and a strong commitment to STEM education. The successful candidate will teach Design & Technology across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and practical lessons in areas such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Engineering, or Graphics.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver creative and hands-on DT lessons in line with the national curriculum
Develop students' skills in design, problem-solving, and technical drawing
Prepare and maintain equipment, ensuring a safe and organised workshop environment
Assess and track pupil progress, providing constructive feedback
Contribute to the development of the DT curriculum and extra-curricular activities
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Specialism in DT - Product Design, Resistant Materials, Engineering, or Graphics
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Enthusiasm for practical teaching and student engagement
A commitment to raising standards and supporting student development
