Service Care Solutions is working with a highly regarded Legal 500 firm, based in Reading, which is looking to appoint a Contentious Probate Solicitor into its well-established and growing Will Disputes & Contentious Probate team. This is a genuinely rare opportunity in the market as the role offers exclusively contentious probate litigation work.
 
Role: Contentious Probate Solicitor (3–5 PQE)
Location: Reading - hybrid
Salary: £55,000 – £75,000
 
The Role:
You will be managing your own caseload of a full spectrum of contentious probate work, including:

Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act claims for both Claimants and Defendants.
Challenges to the validity of Wills.
Executor and administrator disputes, including removal applications.
Estate administration disputes.
Court of Protection disputes.
A wide range of trust disputes.Ongoing supervision and support will be provided by the Head of Will Disputes & Contentious Probate, who is recognised by Legal 500 as a Leading Individual for contentious probate in the Southeast.
 
Key Requirements:

3–5 years’ PQE in civil litigation, including contentious probate work as solicitor in England and Wales.
Experience of contentious probate (and ideally some non-contentious private client exposure during training or early career).
Confidence managing your own caseload and contributing to team-based litigation.Benefits
