Job Title: General Labourer

Pay Rate: £13.00–£14.50 per hour (based on experience)

Contract Type: Temp-to-Perm (Long-Term Opportunity)

Location: Based near NG22 – travel UK-wide
Pick-up/Drop-off Point: NG22 (own transport required to/from this location)

Job Description:

We are looking for a General Labourer to join a leading and reputable construction firm delivering projects UK-wide.

This is a long-term, temp-to-perm role – not a short-term filler – ideal for someone seeking job security, travel opportunities, and the chance to develop new skills on the job.

You will be working on construction sites across the UK from Monday to Friday, with travel provided in company vehicles. Weekend work may be available by arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting with general construction site duties

Supporting skilled tradespeople as required

Helping with concrete works, reinforcement, and pre-cast concrete where needed

Using general construction tools and equipment such as:

SDS drills

Angle grinders

‘Stihl’ saws

Concrete pokers

Steel trowels / wood floats

Generators

Maintaining site cleanliness and safety

Comfortable working away from home on a weekly basis

Willing to commit to a stable, long-term role

Ideal Skills and Experience:

Previous general labouring or construction site experience preferred

Ability to work with a range of site equipment and materials

Physically fit and able to work in a hands-on role

Good attitude and willingness to learn

Comfortable with travel and working away from home

Mandatory Requirements:

Valid CSCS Card (must be presented at interview)

Valid UK Driving Licence (must be presented at interview)

Own transport to/from NG22 pick-up point required

Desirable Certifications (Not Essential):

NPORS/CPCS Slinger/Signaller

IPAF 3a/3b (Scissor Lift / Cherry Picker)

NPORS/CPCS Telehandler
