The Project Coordinator will play a key role in delivering a targeted employment support initiative under the Haringey Works Youth Employment Support Project. This project is designed to support individuals who face barriers to employment, particularly young people who are NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) and those impacted by the criminal justice system.
The goal is to equip them with the skills, experience, and confidence needed to enter sustainable employment.
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for planning and delivering key project activities, including organising employability workshops, coordinating work placements, and building strong relationships with local employers and support agencies.
A major part of the role is working closely with partners, such as community organisations, training providers, and probation services, to identify participants' needs and provide tailored employment support.
The role also requires monitoring participant engagement, tracking progress, and reporting key outcomes to the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to ensure the project meets its performance targets.
This is a hands-on role that requires excellent organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as a deep understanding of the barriers individuals face in accessing work opportunities.
The Project Coordinator will play a key role in promoting partnerships and collaboration across all youth-focused employment initiatives such as the Trailblazer Programme for Care Leavers and other funded youth employment projects.
