Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Fitter to join our installation and joinery team in Driffield.

Apteriors’ strength lies in doing everything under one roof – design, cost consultancy, manufacturing, delivery and installation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation of kitchen and bathrooms, carpentry adjustments and finishing to a high standard. You will be working on diverse projects including within education, commercial and residential. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of tasks within the construction industry, utilising a broad range of technical skills and tools. The role will also require travel to sites across the UK and may involve overnight stays.

Duties

* Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment to complete tasks efficiently and safely

* Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate execution of work

* Assist with construction activities such as masonry, carpentry, plastering, and construction painting as required

* Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards

* Collaborate with other tradespeople including roofers, plumbers, electricians, and masons to complete projects on time

Skills

* Proven experience in bathroom and kitchen fitting

* General carpentry and joinery experience

* Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment

* Strong understanding of schematics and technical drawings

* Knowledge of construction processes including plastering, masonry, carpentry, and painting

* Ability to read technical plans accurately and execute tasks accordingly

* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail

* Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment

* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety protocols
