Year 3 Primary Teacher (0.4 Contract) – Crawley

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 3 Teacher to join our welcoming and supportive school community in Crawley from September. This is a 0.4 part-time, permanent position (2 days per week), with flexibility on which days are worked.
This role is ideal for a passionate educator – whether an experienced teacher or an ECT – looking to make a meaningful impact in a lower Key Stage 2 setting that values both academic progress and pupil wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons for a Year 3 class
Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued
Assess and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs
Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and wider school staff
Promote pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
Maintain consistent, positive behaviour management strategies
Communicate effectively with parents and carers about learning and wellbeing
Engage in professional development and contribute to the wider school life
About You
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Good knowledge of the Year 3 curriculum and expectations
Experience in lower KS2 (desirable, but not essential – ECTs welcome)
Creative, organised, and reflective approach to teaching
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Passionate about nurturing young learners in a supportive setting

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
