A well-established special needs school in Welwyn Garden City is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join their dedicated team. The school caters to students aged 16 to 19 with a range of complex needs, including challenging behaviour.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of supporting young people with special educational needs, particularly in managing and responding to behavioural challenges. Working closely with teaching staff and therapists, the Learning Support Assistant will play a vital role in helping students access education in a safe, supportive, and structured environment.

Key Requirements:

Experience supporting students with SEN and challenging behaviour
Confident, calm, and patient approach
Strong behaviour management skills
Ability to build trust and positive relationships with young people
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential)
