Job Role: Electrical Engineer Location: HMP Ashfield, Pucklechurch, South Gloucestershire Salary: £40,000 per annum + Excellent Benefits Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off – 10-hour day shifts

Mainstay Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer on a 4 on 4 off rota in the Pucklechurch, Bristol area. This role is working at HMP Ashfield for a large Facilities Management company with opportunities for further training and career progression.

The Role

As an FM Electrician, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining electrical systems and infrastructure on site. Your responsibilities will include:

• Fault finding and rectifying defects on electrical plant and equipment

• Conducting pre-planned maintenance activities

• Installing new electrical systems and apparatus

• Recording inspection findings and ensuring timely fault resolution

• Supporting site operations through both teamwork and independent work

This role is ideal for someone looking to establish or stabilise their electrician career in a single-site environment, free from extensive travel.

What You’ll Need

• Recognised trade apprenticeship

• City & Guilds Electrical Certificate or equivalent

• Qualified to BS7671/ 18th Edition (Current Edition of IEE Wiring Regulations)

• Minimum 5 years’ post-apprenticeship experience in the trade

• Willingness to undertake further training as required

Additional Information

• Participation in an on-call rota (approximately 1 in 8)
