About the Role:
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic female PE Teacher to join our vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Lewisham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified PE teacher to inspire students, promote healthy lifestyles, and contribute to a thriving physical education department.

Please note: This post is open to female applicants only, in line with the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1, due to the requirement to supervise and teach girls' physical education.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on girls' PE

*

Promote active participation, teamwork, and a love for sport and fitness

*

Organise and lead extracurricular activities, clubs, and school sports teams

*

Monitor and assess student progress to ensure all pupils achieve their potential

*

Support whole-school events, enrichment activities, and inter-school competitions

*

Collaborate with department colleagues to develop innovative and inclusive PE provision

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Physical Education or Sport Science

*

Experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting

*

A strong understanding of safeguarding and promoting student welfare

*

Excellent communication and classroom management skills

*

A commitment to high expectations and inclusive practice

*

A passion for promoting physical wellbeing and lifelong fitness
