Tradewind Recruitment has been exclusively approached by a vibrant, large primary school in Accrington to recruit a dedicated Year 4/5 Teacher. This is a maternity cover position starting after the Easter break, running through until December 2026.

Role Overview

Position: Year 4/5 Class Teacher (Maternity Cover)

Location: Accrington, Lancashire

Start Date: April 2026 (Post-Easter)

End Date: December 2026

Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Pay: Competitive rates based on experience/MPS

The Role Requirements

The successful candidate will take full teaching and planning responsibilities for a mixed Year 4/5 class. We are looking for:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Proven experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (KS2).

The ability to differentiate lessons effectively for a mixed-age class.

A proactive, "can-do" attitude and the ability to integrate quickly into a large staff team.

A commitment to maintaining high standards of pupil attainment and wellbeing.
