We design, develop and deliver a wide range of offsite-prefabricated, innovative and sustainable building service solutions throughout the UK & Europe.  Alternative Heat specialises in the design, supply and installation of a wide range of Pre-Fabricated energy solutions, typically built in NI and shipped throughout the UK & Europe. We also offer turnkey design, build & operate solutions for commercial energy centres and large-scale district heating solutions and have experience with successfully procuring and delivering many similar packages to a wide range of public body’s throughout UK & Europe.   We are currently looking to fill the role of Electrician to support our growing Operations Team in our fabulous new Head Quarters based in Banbridge.  This post is permanent contract. Job Title | Electrician
Location | Head Office, Banbridge
Hours | Monday- Thursday 8am - 5pm, Friday 8am - 3pm
Salary | Competitive depending on experience
Responsible to | Electrical Site Supervisor

The successful candidate would be working in conjunction with an established site management team and alongside our in-house M&E team, to deliver any electrical works required, ranging from in house maintenance across all AH sites, install of new circuits and plant across our fabrication sites, Testing and inspection of all sites and newly installed circuits, to closing out snag works on our plantrooms and frames, hence previous experience working on commercial and industrial sites is essential.  
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will assist in the installation of all electrical systems required. 

The installation of containment including conduit, tray, basket, trunking and cable ladder. 

They will review drawings, interpreting the technical specifications to determine wiring installation methods and electrical requirements to 18th edition standards. 

Inspection and testing, of newly installed circuits, and periodic inspection and testing of all AH sites when required. 

Close out snags on outstanding AH plantrooms and frames. 

Manage repairs on sites to help with down time. 

Attending courses when required.

Any duties which the role will require. 

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential Criteria

Time served electrician status  

18th edition qualification 

2391 testing and inspection (or equivalent) qualification 

Industrial/commercial background (minimum 5 years experience) 

Excellent fault-finding skills 

Ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team. 

Complete work to a high standard and within the time constraints of a project. 

Comply with relevant health and safety regulations. 

Willingness to help in other areas of the assembly yard. 

Full UK/Ireland clean driving license
