Mechanical Fitter – Heavy Industry

Location: Hull

24/7 Manufacturing Site

A great opportunity for a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join a well-established heavy manufacturing site with long-term stability, modern plant, and a strong safety culture.

You’ll be part of a tight-knit engineering team keeping critical production equipment running in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

The Mechanical Fitter Role:
• Planned and reactive mechanical maintenance on plant and equipment
• Fault finding and mechanical repairs
• Working safely under permit systems, LOTO and site procedures
• Supporting continuous improvement and reliability
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records

What We’re Looking For:
• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical / Plant Maintenance
• Experience in heavy industry or manufacturing maintenance
• Strong H&S mindset – LOTO, permits, safe systems of work
• Team player with the ability to work on own initiative
• Flexible and physically fit for a hands-on role

Desirable:
• Pipefitting, hydraulics, pneumatics, basic electrics
• Forklift / MEWP
• Electrical experience
