We’re looking for a sharp, detail-driven QC Laboratory Technician to ensure everything that enters and leaves our site meets the highest standards.

You’ll play a critical role in keeping operations safe, compliant, and running like clockwork.

Commutable from Wigan, Bolton, Ashton-in-Makerfield, Leigh, Skelmersdale, Eccleston, Ormskirk, St Helen’s and Newton-le-Willows

Duties

* Drive timely product testing across in-process and final specifications

* Prepare and manage pre-shipment samples with accurate documentation

* Test incoming raw materials to maintain quality from the start

* Support R&D and development projects when required

* Maintain and follow equipment calibration schedules

* Deliver training on test methods to operators and team members

* Provide clear process adjustment instructions to production teams

* Complete inspections, testing, and quality documentation efficiently

* Identify non-conforming materials/processes and take corrective action

* Escalate issues promptly to the Senior QC Chemist or QC Manager

* Support specification and process changes when required

* Investigate and respond to customer complaints and process failures

* Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented quickly

Requirements

* Qualification in Chemistry

* Calibration experience

* Ability to work independently and make sound decisions

* Confident communicator who can liaise across teams

* Organised, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement

* Experience in a QC or laboratory environment
