BAM UK&I are looking for Construction Site IT Mobilisation Lead to be based in in the Midlands working from our Solihull office on a hybrid basis.
Your mission
The CSIT Lead will be required to support the UK CSIT manager in delivering solution excellence to all sites projects and offices for all mainland UK operational companies and the overall business and will be advising and delivering Construction Site IT deliverables from Construction Site opportunities to Construction Site exit proposals and commercial reviews.
* Implement and recommend the global Construction Site IT components within the solutions catalogue
* Support the Construction Site IT Manager for a ‘single’ solution architecture for all Construction Site IT and assist with the migration to standardised solutions across the Operating Company by ‘do things once and do it well’. Working closely with the IT infrastructure team and Digital Construction workspace teams.
* Deliver IT estimates that are consistent and included in all tenders and estimations.
* Provide consistent solutions that are fully supported across all regions. Ensure synergy between digital business needs, supporting ICT strategy and construction sites.
* Deliver\facilitate the IT mobilisation of sites within country and provide support throughout the life of the project, including demobilisation and full Construction site life cycle.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders such as the local country tender desk personnel, estimators and construction site IT suppliers and constructions sites across BAM.
* Engage with project leads for all awarded projects
* Support Change on all projects, sites and offices.
* Escalate activities to the UK CSIT manager wherever needed.
* Support the UK CSIT manager to enable them to perform their business role wherever required.
* Pair with the Scottish Lead to cross support Scotland and Ireland, mostly remotely but visiting the UK mainland on occasioning if required
Key activities
* Actively develop relationships with key stakeholders and in particular Site construction staff.
* Visit Construction sites to advise on continuous improvement for ‘do things once and do it well’ by recommending or reviewing current construction site IT environment.
* Report to the Construction Site IT Manager on improvements, risks or opportunities with Construction Site Operations.
* Produce alongside with the Construction Site IT Manager the uniform global end-to-end processes.
* CSIT consultancy: Proactively engage with the Construction Site IT Manager on areas for improving the employee and user experience across the local construction sites and communicate with key stakeholders to understand these improvements. E.g. Be the the primary point of contact, understanding requirements and assisting with Construction Site Automation for a new project in order to ensure fast and appropriate IT solutions.
* Understand the forward thinking technology strategies and enable the delivery of associated technical services ensuring synergy between the construction sites, Digital construction teams and innovation teams.
* Partner with peers to deliver effective communications and solutions. Build and cultivate stakeholder relationships with the ability to keep them engaged, responsible and dedicated in working toward deliverable goals and objectives.
* Review and report on IT and digital business expenditure are kept within allowed project budgets.
* Interpret IT requirements within the RFO, pull together solutions and pricing that can be communicated adequately to Project directors and bid teams either verbally or in written form.
Who are we looking for?
* HNC\HND in IT or equivalent
* At least 2-3 years’ experience in the IT industry (IT\Business).
* ITIL qualification or expérience
* Business Information experience is useful (not essential)
* Business fluency in English (written and verbal). (essential)
* Experience in assisting with Project Estimates or tenders but not essential
* Tolerant towards approx. 40-50% of job-related travelling.
* Knowledge of project management methodologies. (desirable)
* Knowledge and experience in setting up building site automation.
* Knowledge of ICT components such as connectivity, Infrastructure, solutions and IT Technologies (Essential)
