Refuge Playworker
Location: Hampshire | Salary: £10,000 - £15,000 per year | Hours:16
We are recruiting a dedicated Refuge Playworker to support children and families affected by domestic abuse within a refuge setting. The role focuses on promoting healing, safety and emotional wellbeing through play and holistic support.
Key duties include:

Planning and delivering age-appropriate structured and free play activities
*
Providing crèche support for group work in refuges and the community
*
Supporting individual support plans alongside specialist workers
*
Working in partnership with mothers to meet children’s needs
*
Promoting positive mother–child relationships
*
Supporting children to process trauma and build resilience
*
Supervising children’s activities on and off site
*
Maintaining accurate records and strict confidentiality
*
Reporting safeguarding and child protection concerns appropriately
*
Supporting the day-to-day running of the playroom
