Tendering Engineer

35-45k Per annum

Main Purpose of Your Role:

To support the Company’s sales activity through the preparation of high quality tenders / quotations / proposals, that maximise the conversion of sales leads into profitable orders.

To liaise with service and production departments to ensure technical aspects of customers’ requirements are met in the most cost-effective manner.

Conduct site visits to ensure correct rate analysis when quoting rates.

Ensure a timely response to live proposals and align with business priorities. Monitor progress and compile reports in project status.

Goals & Objectives:

Responsibility for reviewing and analysing detailed engineering tendering packages. Responsibility for carrying out technical and practical evaluations of viability and

maintaining communication process of updates and proposals with external contacts. Responsibility for conducting market research to remain up-to-date on industry trends,

ensuring proposals are competitive and relevant.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

The understanding and interpretation of client’ technical specifications and commercial conditions. This may require the preparation of a robust set of comments / deviations to specifications if necessary.

To ensure that site layout, site process and electrical integration and offloading / positioning aspects are all fully considered.

The preparation of price makeups / cost estimates.

The preparation of budgetary and formal bid submissions.

The preparation for and carrying out of formal “project handovers” to the design / projects delivery team.

Requirements:

Educated to degree level in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering

with a minimum of 2 years’ experience within a similar role

Or

HND/HNC in Mechanical / Electrical Engineer with a minimum

of 3 years’ experience within a similar role

Competent person with considerable technical expertise in
