What will you be doing?
·Commissioning, testing and fault-finding on control systems at customer sites.
·Carrying out loop checks, I/O testing and functional testing of automation systems.
·Making minor hardware and software adjustments to resolve issues.
·Working closely with project engineering teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
·Completing commissioning documentation and test reports.
·Supporting and training clients during handover.
·Always working to safety, quality and company standards.
Where you'll be doing it
You'll join a technically driven engineering business with over 30 years' experience delivering high-integrity control systems within the Transport Systems, Highways, Airports and Power sectors. They deliver everything from small upgrades to fully integrated turnkey solutions, from control room to field devices, across Intelligent Transport Systems, highways, airports and power sectors throughout the UK and Ireland.
What you'll need
·At least 2 years' practical experience in electrical, mechanical or industrial work (maintenance, installation or service).
·Strong hands-on skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
·Ability to read and understand basic wiring diagrams or engineering drawings.
·Willingness to learn automation, PLCs and control systems (full training provided).
·Flexibility to travel to customer sites across the UK and Ireland, including a mix of days and nights.
·A Full UK manual driving licence.
·Existing right to work in the UK - sponsorship is not available.
It would be a bonus if you also have some experience with automation, instrumentation or industrial systems, or are familiar with common PLC brands - but it's not essential.
