Senior Project Manager - Water & Wastewater
Location: Derby Office (Hybrid Working Available)
Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum

Are you an ambitious and results driven Project Manager with prior experience in large scale civils and utilities projects and looking for a fresh opportunity?
We have an exciting new opportunity with our client, an integrated design and delivery solution provider within the utilities sector.
They are looking to strengthen their delivery team with an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead their Waste Portfolio within the Self-Delivery team. This leadership role will work closely with the Head of Operations and other senior team members, managing Project Managers and Engineers, and supporting the development of graduates and apprentices.
You'll be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of projects - from planning through to completion - ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to high quality standards, while meeting client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage project teams, ensuring clear responsibilities and strong team performance
Champion high standards of health, safety, and quality across all project activities
Plan, coordinate, and monitor projects from start to finish using the Business Management System (BMS)
Maintain strong working relationships with clients, joint venture partners, and suppliers
Review and approve key project documents including Project Execution Plans and method statements
Manage project risks, costs, and forecasts, ensuring commercial success
Oversee project records and close-out documentation at project completion
Support and guide team members including mentoring less experienced staff
Promote customer satisfaction by delivering excellent outcomes
Keep up-to-date with industry developments and contribute to continuous improvement
About You
Strong project management experience in design and construction, ideally in the water sector within water or wastewater treatment projects
Degree or equivalent in construction, engineering, or a related discipline
Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or similar
Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and deliver to time, cost, and quality targets
Good knowledge of NEC or IChemE contracts
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
