Overview of a Onshore Collector
As an Onshore Collector, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of large, complex customer accounts, focusing on collections, query management and reconciliations. Working within a busy and supportive Accounts Receivable team, you will play a key role in achieving strict ageing and collection KPIs, while building strong internal and external customer relationships in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities of a Onshore Collector
* Manage day-to-day collections and AR activity on high-value, complex customer accounts.
* Monitor debtor balances and reduce DSO in line with tight ageing KPIs.
* Reconcile complex accounts using Excel to analyse detailed line-item data.
* Collect outstanding monies within agreed payment terms and credit policy.
* Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
* Support cash forecasting, reporting and scheduled AR activities.
* Identify and resolve complex account queries and issues.
Key competencies of a Onshore Collector
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounts receivable or credit control.
* Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
* Proven experience managing large, complex reconciliations.
* Understanding of sales deductions, rebates and trading agreements.
* Organised, resilient and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
