About the Role

Are you analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering excellent customer service? One of our clients is looking for a Service Charge Analyst to play a key role in managing and improving our service charge processes. This role is essential in ensuring transparency, accuracy, and compliance in how we allocate and communicate service charges to their residents.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare and issue accurate service charge budgets and actuals in accordance with lease agreements and relevant legislation.

* Analyse expenditure data and ensure charges are fair, transparent, and recoverable.

* Work collaboratively with finance, housing, and property teams to gather and validate service charge information.

* Support the development and improvement of service charge systems and reporting tools.

* Handle queries and complaints from residents relating to service charges, providing clear and consistent explanations.

* Assist in the preparation of financial statements for auditors and support internal and external audits.

About You

* Experience in a service charge, finance, or housing-related role within a housing association or property management environment.

* Strong numeracy, analytical, and Excel skills, with an ability to interpret financial data and present findings clearly.

* Good understanding of leasehold, shared ownership, and tenancy agreements.

* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

* Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and time management abilities.

Desirable Qualifications

* AAT qualification or studying towards a relevant financial or housing qualification.

* Knowledge of housing regulations, service charge legislation, and accounting principles.
