Team Leader – Adult Social Care Services
Location: Hetton-Le-Hole
Salary: £13.44hr
Hours: Full time, flexible shift patterns (including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays)
Reports to: Service Manager
Accountable to: Regional Director

About the Role:
As a Team Leader, you’ll support the day-to-day running of the service, working closely with the Service Manager to ensure the highest standards of care and support. You’ll guide and develop Support Workers, encourage independence and meaningful outcomes for those we support, and ensure safe and responsive service delivery at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead shifts, mentor staff and support the delivery of high-quality care
* Oversee recruitment, induction, training, and ongoing staff development
* Support with rota management, supervisions, and appraisals
* Promote person-centred planning and goal setting for all service users
* Ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures and regulatory requirements
* Monitor quality standards, risk assessments, and health & safety
* Act as a positive role model and advocate for individuals using our services
* Liaise effectively with external professionals and families
* Deputise for the Assistant or Service Manager when required
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in health and social care
* Health and Social Care qualification (Level 2 or above)
* Strong team leadership and people management skills
* Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilities
* Intermediate IT literacy
* Passion for delivering person-centred care
* A flexible, can-do attitude
Desirable:
* Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification
* Experience leading a team in a care environment
* Full UK driving licence
* Advanced IT skills
