A high-growth, modern building consultancy is looking for a driven, commercially-minded Senior Building Surveyor to join their team in Newcastle.

Founded by former big-firm surveyors, this business exists to do things better: faster decisions, practical solutions, direct client impact and genuine progression - without corporate layers or rigid boxes.

The work you'll lead

* Pre-acquisition and technical due diligence

* Dilapidations strategy (landlord and tenant)

* Contract administration and project delivery

* Defect analysis and technical reporting

* Schedules of condition and PPM surveys

* Party wall and neighbourly matters

* Exposure to expert witness and housing disrepair work

You will manage your own workload, develop client relationships and have freedom to shape your portfolio to your strengths.

What you need

* MRICS (post-chartership preferred)

* Strong commercial and client-facing skills

* Able to run instructions independently

* Proactive, solutions-focused and confident communicating with decision-makers

* Ambition to grow with the business (BD exposure welcome, not essential)
