A well-regarded and creative school in Taunton is looking for a dedicated Art Teacher to join their thriving Art & Design department from September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent role, open to ECTs and experienced teachers.

About the Art Department

About the Role
As an Art Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
• Teaching Art and Design across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Creating engaging schemes of work that develop students’ creativity and technical skills.
• Supporting individual projects and encouraging artistic exploration.
• Running extra-curricular art clubs and supporting exhibitions.
• Working collaboratively with the department to develop curriculum and resources.
• Contributing to a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Encouraging students to appreciate and critique artistic works.

Experience and Qualifications
• A degree in Art, Fine Art, or Design
• PGCE/QTS with an Art specialism
• Excellent subject knowledge and a broad skillset
• Ability to inspire creativity and confidence in students
• Commitment to inclusive and student-centred learning

Salary
The salary for this Art Teacher position is paid to scale – MPS/UPS.
