CHP Service Engineer
Northwest (Regional with some UK travel)
£40,000 to £45,500  + Overtime (OTE £65k) + Van

NEOS Engineering are partnered with a leading player in the energy and power generation sector, seeking a dedicated and skilled CHP Service Engineer to join their team covering the Northwest region. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer who thrives on variety, autonomy, and making a real impact on site performance and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform day-to-day operations, planned maintenance, and rapid breakdown response on CHP generating assets, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency.
Fault diagnosis, location, and rectification across electrical, mechanical, and heat systems.
Manage spare parts stock levels and utilise in-house tools to minimise unnecessary contractor use.
Promote and uphold high standards of Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental compliance at all times.
Support and upskill Operations Technicians to handle routine maintenance, freeing you up for more complex tasks.
Represent the business professionally on client sites, ensuring well-maintained, clean and safe working environments.
Participate in a 24-hour emergency call-out rota and occasional overnight stays as required.
Requirements:

Strong background in Electrical, Heat and Mechanical maintenance.
Hands-on experience with control systems (12v DC – 415v AC 3ø).
Gassafe accreditation and 18th Edition desirable — or willing to achieve these within probation.
Familiarity with CHP, Natural Gas Peaker Plants, PV, Energy Storage, or HVAC is a big plus.
Excellent fault-finding skills and ability to work under own initiative.
Full UK driving licence is essential.
