Job Description:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced steel detailer to join an expanding team based in the Dudley area.

This company specialises in the design, manufacture and installation of commercial and industrial steel-framed buildings.

Key responsibilities of a steel detailer:

· Create and develop detailed 3D structural models in Tekla Structures or StruCAD.

· Liaise with contract design teams, fabricators and steel installers.

· Produce and issue general arrangement drawings and RFI sheets to progress the steelwork projects.

· Produce and detail fabrication/shop drawings and site installation drawings.

· Issue supporting CAM/NC data to fabrication in accordance with internal procedures.

· Generate accurate material lists and bolt schedules.

· Provide supporting details during the fabrication and erection process if required.

Experience required for a steel detailer:

· Knowledge of hot-rolled steel and architectural steelwork.

· Minimum 5 years’ UK-BASED experience in steel detailing.

· 3 years experience with Tekla structures or StruCAD.

· Good comprehension on steel fabrication and installation requirements for steel detailing.

· Ability to read and interpret architect’s and structural engineer’s drawings.

Salary:

£50,000 per annum (DOE)

Hours of work:

Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
