Tennial Personnel are actively seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Warehouse Operative to join a well-established logistics operation based in Felixstowe. This is a full-time,temporary to permanent position (after a successful 12 week probation period), working Monday to Friday, 06:00 to 14:30.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to take on greater responsibility within a busy, safety-focused warehouse environment — supporting smooth operations and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

Operate a range of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including Counterbalance, MLOP, and Flexi trucks.

Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain stock accuracy.

Support, coach, and mentor warehouse staff to ensure high performance and teamwork.

Deputise for the Team Leader when required, ensuring operational continuity.

Carry out duties as a responsible person, including Fire Marshal, First Aider, and Racking Inspector responsibilities.

Skills Required

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.

Confident working at heights of up to 5 metres.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Reliable, proactive, and safety-conscious.

Qualifications Required
Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence.

Experience operating Flexi or HLOP trucks (preferred).

Previous experience in a senior or lead warehouse position is desirable.

First Aid or Fire Marshal certification would be an advantage.
