We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team in a high-achieving mainstream secondary school in Tower Hamlets. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with students who require additional help to achieve their academic and personal goals—particularly those with ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, SEMH, and other learning differences.

The Role – SEN Teaching Assistant

* Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEND, both in and out of class

* Assist with the delivery of learning plans tailored to students with EHCPs or additional needs

* Help pupils access the curriculum in core subjects including English, Maths and Science

* Support students in developing their emotional regulation, confidence and independence

* Work collaboratively with teaching staff, the SENCO and external professionals

* Help implement consistent strategies for positive behaviour support

About You – SEN Teaching Assistant

* Experience working with children or young people with SEND in a school or similar setting

* A good understanding of ASD, dyslexia, SEMH and/or other specific learning needs

* Calm, patient, and empathetic – with a commitment to inclusive practice

* Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships

* Able to work flexibly, follow guidance and take initiative when needed

* A team player with a willingness to engage in ongoing CPD and training
