We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Assistant Operations Manager to support the daily running of our busy multi-client fulfilment centre. You will work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure smooth, accurate, and efficient order processing across multiple ecommerce platforms including Shopify, Amazon, eBay and other marketplaces.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong attention to detail, and enjoys improving processes while leading a team.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Support & Workflow Management
* Assist in the day-to-day management of fulfilment operations for multiple clients
* Oversee order processing, pick/pack accuracy, stock levels and dispatch timelines
* Monitor Shopify, Amazon, eBay and other platform dashboards to ensure orders flow correctly into the system
* Support with coordinating inbound deliveries, goods-in processing, and stock allocation
* Ensure all SLAs are consistently met across all clients
Team Leadership & Performance
* Provide daily support, guidance and motivation to warehouse operatives
* Assist with scheduling, delegating tasks and monitoring productivity
* Support training of new staff in fulfilment processes and systems
Client Support & Communication
* Communicate with client account managers regarding stock, orders, delays, or operational updates
* Help produce regular performance and inventory reports
* Assist in onboarding new clients into the fulfilment operation
Quality & Process Improvement
* Identify workflow issues and recommend improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency
* Maintain high standards of quality control and ensure all packing guidelines are followed
* Support compliance with H&S and warehouse best practices
Skills & Experience Required
* Previous experience in ecommerce fulfilment, warehouse operations or logistics
* Familiarity with Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, eBay Seller Hub, and other online platforms
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
* Confident using WMS or order management systems
* Excellent communication and team-leading ability
* Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively
* Good numerical accuracy and attention to detail
