Teaching Assistant - SEN

? Location: Bridgwater
? Hours: Full-time, 32 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 08:30-15:30)
? Pay: £14.66 per hour (PAYE) or £16.14 per hour (Umbrella)

Are you passionate about supporting young learners and making a real difference in their educational journey? Prospero Teaching is working in partnership with a Secondary School in Bridgwater to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their inclusive and values-driven team.

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in helping pupils access the curriculum, develop independence, and achieve their potential. You'll work closely with teachers to support learning, behaviour, and personal development across a range of needs and abilities.

Key Responsibilities

Provide tailored support to pupils in and out of the classroom.
Assist with learning activities, behaviour management, and pastoral care.
Support the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans.
Promote inclusion, equality, and positive behaviour.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
Use ICT to enhance learning and maintain accurate records of progress.

What We're Looking For

GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C or above).
Proven experience working with children in an educational setting.
Strong communication and IT skills.
A team player with initiative, resilience, and a commitment to safeguarding.
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification (desirable but not essential).
Enhanced child workforce DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one)
