Your new role
Our client is seeking an ambitious Assistant Estimator to join their pre-construction team. You will support the preparation of accurate cost estimates for various construction projects, working with senior estimators, project managers, and the commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and advance your career.
Responsibilities will include:
Assisting with tender preparation and cost estimates
Undertaking quantity take-offs from drawings
Producing Bills of Quantities and enquiry documentation
Liaising with the supply chain for quotations
Supporting cashflow profiles and cost plans
Maintaining resource databases for rates
Assisting with bid submissions and site visits
What you will need to succeed:
Experience in estimating, quantity surveying, or construction commercial support (1-3 years ideal)
Understanding of construction estimating and technical drawings
Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software
Ability to work collaboratively
