We are looking to recruit on behalf of our client, a Mechanical Designer to join their exisiting team on a permanent basis.
The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical Engineering Degree / HNC, Mechanical experience, and some knowledge of fabrication would be an advantage.
Candidates should have experience of Solidworks, Invemtor or AutoCAD software.
The main duties of the role will include checking and approving design definition models, manufacturing drawings and ensuring quality and consistency of all detail definition output, managing subcontract detail design from a technical aspect - to be effective and efficient, ensuring drafting work is using the correct information to produce design definition (e.g. design intent, standards), and ensuring Product Definition meets Fit, Form and Function as defined in Design Intent.
