kolt recruitment are looking for a Strip Fitter to join a busy and reputable accident repair centre based in Bedford. This role is ideal for an experienced bodyshop professional who can work efficiently, deliver high-quality workmanship and support a strong team environment.

Job Overview

You will be responsible for the safe and accurate stripping and refitting of vehicles to manufacturer standards as part of the accident repair process. This position requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced bodyshop.

Key Responsibilities

* Strip and refit vehicles safely and efficiently

* Work to manufacturer and repairer standards

* Support the panel and paint teams with smooth workflow

* Complete all job cards and documentation accurately

* Maintain high levels of housekeeping and health & safety compliance

* Liaise with colleagues and contribute to a positive team culture

Requirements

* Previous experience as a Strip Fitter / MET Technician or similar role

* Strong mechanical understanding and ability to follow repair methods

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Full UK driving licence

* Quality-focused approach with good problem-solving skills
