The Role
As a Parts Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the workshop by sourcing, ordering, and managing vehicle parts efficiently. You’ll liaise with suppliers, bodyshop technicians, and estimators to ensure all parts arrive on time and to the correct specification. It’s a role that combines attention to detail, strong organisation, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:

Ordering and receiving vehicle parts for ongoing repair work.

Checking parts for accuracy and quality upon delivery.
*
Managing stock levels and updating inventory systems.
*
Coordinating with estimators and technicians to ensure timely supply.
*
Handling returns and warranty claims efficiently.
*
Maintaining a clean, organised parts department.
*
Building good relationships with suppliers and colleagues.
Key Requirements:

Previous experience in a parts or warehouse role within the automotive or accident repair industry preferred.
*
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
*
Confident using computer systems and parts ordering software.
*
Strong attention to detail and accuracy under pressure.
*
Team player with a proactive, can-do attitude.
