Job Title: Nursery Practitioner – Full Time
Location: Harlow, Essex
Hours: Full time | Between 8:00am – 6:00pm
We are currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join a friendly and supportive early years setting based in Harlow. This is a full-time position, with working hours between 8:00am and 6:00pm, offering consistency and long-term career opportunities within early years education.
This role is perfect for a qualified Nursery Practitioner who is passionate about supporting children’s development and delivering high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework.
Qualifications Required
To be considered for this Nursery Practitioner role, candidates must hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification, such as:
CACHE Level 2/3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce
NVQ Level 2/3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development
Early Years Educator (EYE) qualification
Additional requirements include:
A strong understanding of the EYFS framework
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
A caring, patient, and proactive approach
The ability to work effectively as part of a team
Key Responsibilities
As a Nursery Practitioner, your responsibilities will include:
Supporting children aged 0–5 with their learning, play, and development
Planning and delivering engaging activities aligned with the EYFS
Observing, assessing, and recording children’s progress
Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment
Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Following safeguarding, health, and safety policies at all times

I am an Early Years Consultant supporting nurseries across Harlow, Southend-on-Sea, and other areas throughout Essex. I work closely with early years professionals to match them with the right settings while offering ongoing guidance, advice, and career support.
