The business has been established for over 60 years and is today one of the most recognised names in the industry. They have gone through significant expansion with depots all over the country. They're currently expanding their Workshop team to hire a Vehicle technician to work on a variety of Forklifts. This business prides itself on having a friendly, supportive culture with opportunities for training and progression. They offer an attractive salary package, Circa to £31k to £37k, which includes full training, a standard 40-hour week with overtime paid at time and a half.
Suitable for anyone with a background in fixing, repairing, or servicing any motor or agricultural vehicles.
DAY SHIFTS - MONDAY TO FRIDAY
Responsibilities of the Vehicle Technician
Servicing and repair of Forklift trucks as directed by the Service Manager.
Diagnosing the exact nature of each query and repair with a friendly, efficient, 'can-do' attitude.
Perform delivery and hire inspections, making sure faults are highlighted and recorded
Adhere to the health and safety policies and procedures.
Requirements of the role:
NVQ Level 2 in Plant or Vehicle Engineering - Preferably Apprentice trained
Experienced Forklift Engineer, Vehicle Technician, or Plant Fitter or Mechanic Engineer
Background on either Electric, Hybrid, or Mechanical Trucks
Full UK Driving License
Good at managing own workload and able to cope with pressure.
Good team player.
