CAD Technician – Widnes | £35,000 – £40,000 | Full-Time | In-Office

Are you a skilled CAD Technician with experience in the water design engineering sector? We’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented individual to join a growing mechanical/process technical team based in Widnes.

In this full-time role, you'll use 2D AutoCAD and related software to create technical drawings, support material procurement, and contribute to the overall success of engineering projects. You’ll be hands-on with design documentation, technical reports, and risk assessments—helping shape solutions that make a difference.

Key Responsibilities:

Produce 2D CAD drawings, models, and technical documentation

*

Support preparation of parts lists for procurement

*

Assist in design risk assessments, quality plans, and change reviews

*

Engage with internal teams and clients, supporting queries and promoting best practice

*

(DOE) Supervise designers as required

You’ll Need:

*

Background in water design engineering (UU, STW, YW, SW projects)

*

Relevant qualifications in mechanical or design engineering

*

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Plant 3D, BIM360, and Navisworks

*

Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems

*

Familiarity with safety standards (LOPA, ALARP, HAZID, HAZOP)

*

Strong communication and organisational skills

*

Positive, solution-driven mindset

Location: Office-based in Widnes – Monday to Friday
