Our client is looking to hire a part time Logistics coordinator to work in the logistics/transport team, to fulfil internal and external customer orders. This is a part time role of 20 hrs per week - some flexibility on working hours in the day
Reporting to: Logistics Manager / Assistant Logistics Manager
Key Responsibilities:
* Receiving and coordinating customer orders and enquiries
* Sourcing and managing contract hauliers
* Planning incoming materials, outgoing orders and internal transfers of stock
* Planning and scheduling work for vehicles/drivers
* Utilising the fleet to maximize efficiency of routes and ernings
* Administration associated with invoices, vehicle earnings and drivers wages
* Safe practices
* Managing visitors, all vehicles entering depot
* Promoting the core values of the company
Key Skills
* Able to demonstrate good geographical knowledge (local)
* Excellent communication skills
* Sound numeracy skills
* Proficient use of IT, including Microsoft (Word & Excel)
* Knowledge of drivers hours regulations and WTD Working Time Directive would be preferencial
* Preference for experience in aggregate or construction industry
