Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Salary: Competitive – based on experience
Start Date: As soon as possible
Contract Length: 2 months initially, with the possibility of extension
About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable, professional, and supportive individual to provide 1:1 practical support for a service user working at the Houses of Parliament. The role requires accompanying the service user during the commute from Chigwell to Westminster and back, as well as providing hands-on assistance throughout the working day.
Key Responsibilities:

Transport Assistance:
Accompany the service user on public transport (Chigwell to Westminster and return).

On-site Support:
*
Assist with navigating the parliamentary estate (e.g. accessing lifts, opening doors).
*
Note-taking during meetings.
*
Set up work equipment, including removing and preparing a laptop from a bag.
*
General administrative tasks such as filing, printing, and photocopying.
Requirements:

Punctual, dependable, and respectful of professional environments.
*
Good written communication skills for note-taking.
*
Competent using a computer (e.g. basic document handling, email, printing).
*
Physically able to provide light practical support (e.g. carrying a bag, opening doors).
*
Comfortable using public transport regularly.
*
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Desirable:
*
Previous experience in a personal assistant, support worker, or administrative support role.
*
Understanding of accessibility needs or experience supporting individuals with disabilities.
