Commercial Director
Salary: Up to £70,000 plus car and bonus
Contract: Permanent

Are you a commercially astute leader ready to drive growth and innovation in the construction and civils sector? We’re seeking a hands-on Commercial Director to shape and deliver complex projects, lead negotiations, and ensure robust commercial outcomes from inception to completion.
 
What You’ll Do

Take ownership of the commercial strategy, budget, programme, and risk across multiple projects
Negotiate, draft, and execute solid commercial contracts both large-scale and SME, ensuring risk is managed and value is maximised
Lead business planning and develop new service-based offerings that deliver speed, reliability, and knowledge to clients
Oversee operational delivery, integrating third-party contractors and ensuring cohesive, margin-safe packages
Maintain financial discipline and cost transparency, challenging assumptions and driving accountability at every stage
Make decisive go/no-go calls at key project milestones, ensuring projects are commercially viable and aligned with client objectives
Engage with stakeholders at all levels, from boardroom to site, building strong relationships and driving collaboration 
What You’ll Bring

Proven experience negotiating and delivering commercial contracts in construction, civils, or related sectors
Strong operational background ideally spanning sales, site management, and consultancy with a practical, hands-on approach
Financial acumen and experience managing capital projects, cost control, and risk in uncertain environments
Entrepreneurial mindset: visionary, creative, and comfortable working independently without a large support team
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence, lead, and inspire teams and stakeholders
Attention to detail, strong written communication, and a track record of delivering structured, feasible solutions
Adaptability and drive to thrive in a dynamic, evolving environment
