JOB TITLE - Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
ABOUT THE SCHOOL
Prospero Teaching is seeking a skilled and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive Primary School based in South Bristol.
The school offers a collaborative and welcoming environment, with regular CPD opportunities throughout the academic year. Depending on performance, the role may be extended or become permanent.
CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS
Location: South Bristol
Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Full-Time: Monday to Friday
Day Rate: £100 - £130 per day
Hours: 8:20 am - 3:30 pm
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience working in a UK school is mandatory
A minimum of 24 months of verifiable, child‑related references is required
HLTA qualification or equivalent experience is desirable
Experience supporting students across primary age ranges
Experience working with Special Educational Needs, including:
Autism
Speech & Language Needs
Up‑to‑date safeguarding training completed within the last year
Strong command of spoken and written English
Experience in healthcare or supporting vulnerable individuals is desirable
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold the Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for a new one
