Job Requirements of this Teaching Assistant job in Burton-on-Trent

Provide support and assistance to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a school environment.

Adapt teaching materials and activities to meet the individual needs and abilities of students with SEN.

Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans for students with SEN.

Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to facilitate the inclusion and progress of students with SEN.

Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment for all students, including those with SEN.

Qualifications or Certificates:

Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Teaching and Learning or equivalent.

Relevant certificates or training in supporting students with SEN.

Experience:

Proven experience working with students with SEN within a school environment or similar setting.

Familiarity with different types of SEN and strategies for supporting students with diverse needs.

Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents/carers, and other professionals involved in the care and education of students with SEN.

Brief Overview of the Role:

Age Group: Primary to P16 age range (typically 4 to 16 years old).

Length of Bookings: Varied, ranging from short-term assignments to long-term placements, depending on the needs of individual students and the school.
